Karma Dancing With Shadows
This corner of the world is mine where I come to write, claim my independence, feel, think and write what's on my mind in the hopes that sharing experiences of being the daughter of a Narcissist can help others who are dealing with and overcoming the obstacles to regaining true emotional freedom.

Gov Richardson of New Mexico drops out of Democratic Prez race. I'm saddened by this fact because he had a very impressive resume of accomplishments plus he's a minority plus he was the true underdog plus I liked the fact that during the democratic debate he was able to actually answer the questions Charlie Gibson posed plus he was impassioned, seasoned and reasoned levelly with idea of change AND experience plus he was a likeable person but Richardson didn't have the star power or celebrity status of the other candidates. "Please bury me in the library"
...ran across this book title and for some reason it gave me a comforting thought. Yeah, hide me in tombs of knowledge, incidently I wrote a poem awhile back...not a great one but it comes close to that feeling of gorging, becoming a glutton for words, for thought, for knowledge, for life...
I can't deny myself
Last call announced,
doors are soon closing
but already in the car,
surrounding me are books
in the seat, on the floor,
now-in my lap at dusk
I strain to read lines
on pages that betray me,
the only light a lamp post
overhead becomes a savior
for my thirst barely enough
to cover the open page,
the swatch of light
drapes across my book
and I can hear my mama’s voice
“you shouldn’t read in the dark”
but it becomes as inviting
as a lake or river
to a waterless fish…
I immerse myself
I am an oasis,
a desert without sand
