This corner of the world is mine where I come to write, claim my independence, feel, think and write what's on my mind in the hopes that sharing experiences of being the daughter of a Narcissist can help others who are dealing with and overcoming the obstacles to regaining true emotional freedom.

souled out
"GREAT!!!!!!
Today here in Texas we have always voted republican as our parents, but when we got to the republican voting polls we all looked at each other and said lets vote for Hillary.
So we all went to the democratic voting polls with the intent of voting for Hillary, but when we came out we all discovered we selected Obama instead of Hillary.
It was the strangest thing, but we really would like to see America do something different.
Sorry for all the bad Obama comments, but in reality we felt in our hearts and souls that he should have our votes. It was an emotional ride back home but we feel we did what the spirit led us to do.
NEW SPIRIT IS RIGHT!!!!!
Good Luck Obama ya'll deserve something too!!"

Came across this little diddy today in the comments section of the NYTimes...
And provocative commentary too. I blinked twice and broke a smile when I saw the poster's name...it is especially a good thing when you come across a diamond amidst a pile of stones and rubble...
"I think Sen. Obama has shown us that he is able to organize and inspire people to work for a common cause. His campaign is a perfect metaphor for what America needs to do. In one year he has done the seemingly impossible. If some one had said to me that Obama would be heading into Ohio-Texas with this kind of momentum I would have probably laughed, but the truth is by some secret magic that only a few people possess he has been able to get American our greatest possibility, “that we can overcome great odds.” We hear talk of experience as if experience was a job. The job of the president is not to have 50 years of experience, no, the job of the president is to execute the will of the people. The job of the president is to lead a nation with a vision that is far greater than that of the individual. The job of the president is to be the unifier of dreams, and that I think Mr. Obama has shown us time and time again. The most amazing thing about Sen. Obama is the fact that he is not pandering to our lowest denominator, no, he is showing us how to reach for our greater selves."

It is time, Hillary, to step aside...
www.slate.com
It is time, Hillary, to step aside. Our nation needs to heal. It needs to heal from racial divisions, political divisions, religious divisions. Divisions at home, in our schools, at our workplaces. You need to step aside, Hillary, and put your personal aspirations and agenda behind what is best for our country. Yes, you would have been the first woman to be president of the United States, and that would have been great. But it is not enough to heal the country. There may be another time for you to leave your mark, but now is not the time.
It is time, Hillary, to step aside. The people have spoken. We are tired of the same old same old. What you would be bringing to the Presidency on day one is more of the same. Your experience and your methods are based in institutions that have seen their time, are in the state of decay and need to be laid to rest. They need to be torn down on day one, the slate needs to be cleaned and the American people need to be given a voice.
It is time, Hillary, to step aside and let our next president be what the people need: A leader. After your husband’s tenure ending in controversy and drama and our current president garnering more shame than anything else, it is time for America to have a leader. Someone who can inspire and instill hope. Someone who can command respect from our peers in the international community and neighbors in our back yards. Someone who we, as Americans, can proudly say represents us as a people.
It is time, Hillary, to step aside. To step aside and let the inevitable happen in a unified voice. The people need you to join in the cause of change and abandon what you think you know. It is not important who wins the election. It is important that the candidate who shouts the loudest with the people’s voice continues to be heard.
It is time, Hillary, to step aside. If, somehow, you win the democratic nomination, you will win the battle, but lose the war. You do not have a history of having your own, unique voice. You do not have a history of knocking the system. Rather, you have a history supporting the institutions. The people want change and McCain’s record supports this more than yours does. If you win the nomination over Obama, McCain will be the next president.
It is time, Hillary, to step aside. To hold your head high and say you fought the good fight. To stop your political engine from tearing a good man apart and instead turn it around to support him. To be able to look back one day and sit with your future grandchildren and tell them how you did the right thing when it counted. To stop seeking a win for yourself and seek a win for the people.
The time is now, Hillary. Not tomorrow or next week or a month from now, but now. The time is now before your bright fire fades any further from who you really are. Save yourself, save your country. The time is now to step aside and support the one who needs to be elected for the good of us all. The time is now, Hillary, to do what’s right. The time is now, Hillary, to step aside.
*But as we know with Hillary, the words "Clinton" and "loosing gracefully" are not often found together in the same sentence. Hillary was promised this job only months ago. She was to be the first woman President in the history of the United States. She was measuring the drapes for the White House and penciling in her appointments. Might the Clintons once again be in a position to rent the Lincoln bedroom to campaign donors and employ the Oval Office as a massage parlor? Might they have jobs lined up for the immigrants?

the solutions candidate?
Hillary Clinton has changed up her tactics in the Democratic race for president by touting herself as the 'solutions' candidate as she slips behind in the popularity polls behind Obama Barack. It seems 'change' and 'experience' is not resonating with the public as strongly as initially was.
Let's take a closer look at who's really qualified and or who's really working for the good of all of us in the Senate. Obama or Clinton.
Senator Clinton, who has served only one full term - 6yrs. - and another year campaigning, has managed to author and pass into law - 20 - twenty pieces of legislation in her first six years.
These bills can be found on the website of the Library of Congress www.thomas.loc.gov, but to save you trouble, I'll post them here for you.
1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site.
2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month.
3. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
4. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall.
5. Name courthouse after James L. Watson.
6. Name post office after Jonn A. O'Shea.
7. Designate Aug. 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
8. Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
9. Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death.
10. Congratulate the Syracuse Univ. Orange Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
11. Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
12. Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program.
13. Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda.
14. Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express condolences on her death.
15. Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty. Only five of Clinton's bills are, more substantive.
16. Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11.
17. Pay for city projects in response to 9/11 18. Assist landmine victims in other countries.
19. Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care.
20. Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as protected in the wilderness preservation system.
There you have it, the fact's straight from the Senate Record.
Now, I would post those of Obama's, but the list is too substantive, so I'll mainly categorize.
During the first - 8 - eight years of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced
233 regarding healthcare reform,
125 on poverty and public assistance,
112 crime fighting bills,
97 economic bills,
60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills,
21 ethics reform bills,
15 gun control,
6 veterans affairs and many others.
His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These included **the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 - became law, **The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, - became law, **The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate, **The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, - became law, **The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, In committee, and many more.
In all, since entering the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096.
An impressive record, for someone who supposedly has no record according to some who would prefer that this comparison not be made public.
He's not just a talker.
He's a doer.
But you be the judge.
