Karma Dancing With Shadows

This corner of the world is mine where I come to write, claim my independence, feel, think and write what's on my mind in the hopes that sharing experiences of being the daughter of a Narcissist can help others who are dealing with and overcoming the obstacles to regaining true emotional freedom.

Look, up in the sky, its a bird! It's a plane!

With a  satellite moving roughly 17,000+ mph and a missile moving around 5,000 mph, that's a closing speed of 22,000 mph, and at 130 miles above earth's surface, you've got maybe a microsecond to make impact so when the kill vehicle collided with the missile on the first attempt, you could've heard my screams reach Pluto.  It was like the aerial assault Dwight Howard did on the court when he spun off like Superman loaded up on kryptonite to bring down the house in his cape-trailing high-flying slam dunk.  I was STOKED! http://www.newsvine.com/_news/2008/02/20/1315004-satellite-debris-deemed-unhazardous It was an unprecedented mission for the Navy, so extraordinary that the final go-ahead to launch the missile Wednesday was reserved for Defense Secretary Robert Gates rather than a military commander. Asked about the satisfaction felt among those in the military who had organized the shootdown on short notice by modifying missile software and other components, Cartwright smiled widely. (He is so modest) "Yes, this was uncharted territory. The technical degree of difficulty was significant here," Cartwright said. "You can imagine that at the point of intercept there were a few cheers that went up." (I bet more than a few) --You can say a lot about our country, but you've gotta admit we're dayum good at blowing stuff up.

Dancing with Shadows

My photo
a mix of 'tude...fortitude, solitude and attitude. I have an unhealthy addiction to intelligent, free-thinkers, red vine licorice, vitamin water, raw carrots and sitting on my back porch with a good book becoming one with nature
